Chinese Traditional Massage
Kaya brings 14 years of experience to the table and has attended School in California and Arkansas, as well as worked in Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington and Michigan . Kaya is very professional and trained in a variety of massage techniques. Inspired by traditional Chinese medicine, the Chinese traditional massage involves the massage therapists’ use of their hands, arms, elbows, knees, and feet to apply pressure on specific parts of your body known as “meridian points.” You will love the results.
The practice of Chinese massage to relieve pain and reduce stress began in China more than 3,000 years ago. It was developed to remove blockages that slow down the flow of energy. These blockages cause you to feel various kinds of pain, stress, and fatigue.
Welcome Mimi & Lily to our staff at Kaya's Massage & PEMF. Kaya's is proud to announce local talent has been added with Mini & Lily, who have customers asking for them again and again. They join Kaya with the Chinese Traditional Massage and everything on our menu delivered in their unique style. The comment heard the most is "That is the best massage I've ever had"
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage involves the use of slow strokes and similar friction techniques on the muscle grain to relieve the muscle and connective tissues located within its deeper layers. It is not atypical for a bruise to appear after a good deep tissue massage, especially if you are on any medication that makes you more susceptible to it.
You will greatly benefit from deep tissue massage if you are suffering from chronic muscle pain, strain, and issues related to injury and posture. Please take note, though, that your body may feel sore while recovering for up to two days after the therapy.
The Swedish massage, one of the most popular techniques, was developed primarily to relax your entire body by using long gliding strokes that track the blood’s path back to the heart. Your therapist will not be pushing extra on tight areas or knots in a Swedish massage.
Its other benefits include increasing your blood’s oxygen levels, helping get rid of toxins in your muscles, improving your blood circulation, and relieving tension while enhancing your body’s flexibility.
Hot Stone Massage
The hot stone massage is designed to relieve tension, relax your muscles, and improve circulation and metabolism. This therapy involves putting water-heated stones on key areas on your body to help your muscles relax.
Hot stone massages are often done in combination with other therapy types to enhance its benefits.
Reflexology is a type of alternative medicine where the masseuse uses their thumbs, fingers, and hands to apply pressure on specific parts of your feet. They target certain zones on the feet that connect with and benefit other parts of your body.
Signature Massage - Chinese Traditional
Our customized massage combines several modalities, highlighting the so-called “Tuina” process, which uses acupressure points. We recommend this massage treatment to address specific body issues. The best thing about our signature massage is that it can be modified by our therapists to produce better results depending on your preference.
Gua Sha (scrapping)
Gua sha (Chinese: 刮痧; pinyin: guā shā), meaning "scraping sha-bruises", is a traditional Chinese medical treatment in which the skin is scraped to produce light bruising. Practitioners believe gua sha releases unhealthy elements from injured areas and stimulates blood flow and healing. Kaya will use a lubricating medium, such as massage oil, applied to the skin of the area to be treated with Her Gua Sha scrapping stones. She also does Cupping as well.
Kaya's Deep Tissue Massage Technique has been around for more than 3,000 years and continues to be popular today because of its effectiveness. It may involve massaging your back using the therapist’s bare feet.
